April 8 |Rosewood Hotel Georgia is holding a 1920s-themed brunch in the beautifully restored Spanish Ballroom. Dishes range from specialities, including endive, fennel and apple salad and braised bison short ribs with spicy mole to the traditional eggs benedict.

April 14 | Creamy or hard, aged or smokey, I like all kinds of cheese. Join cheesemaker David Asher Rotsztain in the Introduction to Cheese Making class at UBC and learn to make your own. Techniques and demos will be shown for making three basic styles of cheese: paneer, yogourt cheese and camembert, an aged rennet cheese. And the best part? At the end of the workshop, it’s time to feast on the freshly made cheeses.
April 14 | Indulge and Dance a little why don’t you? Social Bites presents to you an event for ‘lovers of all things sweet’ (me) featuring local up-and-coming pastry makers and some wicked cool 80s/90s dance music. It’s all going down at the W2 Media Cafe in Gastown. Tickets – $18.
April 18 |The Arts Club’s 32nd Annual California Wine Fair is on again at the Convention Centre. Fine wine from over 100 wineries from the Napa, Sonoma, and Central Coast regions. Tickets are $75/person or $65/person for parties of 6 or more. I’ll be there; come have a glass with me!
April 22 | Variety’s 3rd Annual Food Fight! The Battle for Brunch will be held at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver. BC’s finest chefs including those from EBO and YEW battle it out to impress guests (and win their vote) with delicious brunch dishes. Emceed once again by Vancouver personality, Fred Lee.
