With your ticket you get a plate of fresh-off-the-boat BC Spot Prawns, accompanied by sides, sauces and Terra Breads baked goods to mop it all up! Not only that but you get entrance into the food, wine, and beer tent, featuring pours from Mogiana Coffee, R&B Brewing, and Ganton & Larsen Prospect Winery. A ridiculous deal, it’s no surprise it’s sold out already!
|EPIC: The Vancouver Sustainable Living Expo
May 11–13| $15/23 | Vancouver Convention Centre | Learn about environmentally-friendly products and companies, attend lectures, and see green-living exhibits. Let’s not forget that there is an Epicurean centre and tons of samples of food, coffee and even beer throughout the room. All fair trade of course! I went every day last year and loved every minute of it. Take a moment to talk to some of the vendors, they’re incredible people.

Food pairings this year include Argentinian chorizo with Chapa bread, Charred Chimi Chrurri Hanger Steak, Empandas, Prawn tacos and more. The cocktail “shakedown” competition offers an opportunity to watch 6 top bartenders in action creating Argentinian inspired cocktails, with of course a chance to taste each one!
|Wine Tasting with a Social Twist

Chef Jeff from Miradoro Restaurant partners with Le Gavroche to create canapes to pair with VUW’s wines. Wines will be brown bagged and it will be up to the guest to figure out what the wines are. May 18-Oct 8 every Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 7PM-12AM Fri/Sat 6-11PM Sun | $Depends how much you eat! | 8351 River Rd, Richmond | With over 1 million visitors every year, be prepared for a sardine-like adventure, but the 80 food booths make it all worthwhile. Not to mention the live entertainment, games and the new addition to the market, farm fresh and hand-made goods.

Appetizers provided courtesy of the culinary team at Dockside Restaurant, wine provided by Coal Harbour Liquor store. And since you’ll be drinking, there’s even a free return shuttle service directly from the Coal Harbour Liquor Store to the Dockside Restaurant on Granville Island starting at 4:45pm and running every 30 minutes. Shoot I’d do it just for that!
