As the co-founder of The Huffington Post, and as a recognized political leader, she has established herself as an independent and determined woman. I certainly could learn a thing or two from her. Couldn’t you?
Or individuals like Scooter Braun, who has made his mark in a completely different way, as the party planner and marketing whiz in the entertainment industry. His claim to fame stems from his work planning after-parties for Eminem and Ludacris, organizing NBA All-Star Soirees, and, more recently, from ultimately bringing twelve-year-old Justin Beiber to where he is today.

I imagine myself walking away from this particular event with notebooks full of tips and tricks, a ton of new Twitter followers, and a slew of new “friends”, who happen to be in the same field that I’m in. Optimistic? Maybe. Idealistic? Definitely.
